Joyful Gospel Brunch: “It Really Was a Family Reunion”
After two years of long stretches of COVID-19 separations, Los Angeles LGBT Center seniors reunited for a gospel brunch that left many feeling inspired.
“I have not been around more than nine people in about two years so to me this is like homecoming,” said Clarence R. Williams, one of the event’s organizers. “This is a great, celebratory day for all of us.”
The event had originally been scheduled during Black History Month but was delayed due to the spike in COVID-19 cases during the holidays. But Williams pointed Out: “Black History Month is every day because it is American history.”
