Polyester Queer Creatives Fund In collaboration with Monki, Polyester are creating a Queer Creative Fund to offer one LGBTQA+ creative a £1500 grant and one month of creative mentorship sessions with the Polyester and Monki team to create an artistic project of their choosing for the July digital cover of The Polyester Dollhouse. Trans Vegas 2021 Trans Vegas is back, the UK's largest trans art festival celebrating trans and non-binary people everywhere. Comission: Pitch The Trans Film You Want to See (Trans People of Colour Globally) Trans Vegas are asking trans people of colour to send them pitches and ideas for the trans films you've always wanted to see. This is your chance to imagine that film, bring it to life and maybe inspire the industry to listen and even make it one day. This will form part of their debate as to why so few films/ TV shows/ documentaries centre stories about trans people of colour of all genders. Send them your ideas - three people will then receive a £200 commission to write short pitches which will be part of their film event hosted by Campbell X, award-winning writer/director of feature film Stud Life and director of web series Different for Girls and Spectrum London. The panel will feature other Black and trans film makers of colour.

We appreciate the value of creating a team that has a wide range of lived-experiences and encourage applications from folks who are currently underrepresented in the arts, which might include D/deaf and disabled, neurodivergent, Black, PoC, Trans* and working class applicants. Both roles are primarily based at the Homotopia office in Liverpool, but some remote and flexible working may be required, in-line with government guidance on covid-19. We are recruiting: Festival Coordinator (15 hours week, 6 months fixed term) We are looking to appoint a Festival Coordinator for 6 months to help with the administration and logistics of planning and running Homotopia Festival 2021. Salary: £650 per month (Full Time Equivalent: £19,500) This role includes paid overtime. Application deadline: Tuesday 1 June 2021 at 9am.
