BIOGRAPHY Max Ginsburg (b. 1931) has exhibited his fine art since 1953 to the present and has taught art for over 60 years. His paintings are in many museums and private collections including the Butler Institute of American Art, the New Britain Museum, the Washington County Museum of Fine Art, the Society of Illustrators Museum, the Salmagundi Club, and other public institutions. His illustration career from 1980 to 2004 for clients such as New York Times Magazine and HarperCollins Publishers was decorated by awards from the Society of Illustrators, Allied Artists of America, Romance Writers of America, and many more.
He has taught at the Art Students League of N.Y. (2008-Present), the School of Visual Arts (NYC) (1984-2000), and the High School of Art and Design (NYC) (1960-1982), and has given many painting from life workshops around the USA and abroad. His book, "Max Ginsburg: Retrospective," was published in 2011.
