Upcoming deadlines: 6 grant opportunities due Jan. 9th
Open call for panelists: New honorarium offered for service
The search continues for arts and culture field experts to serve as part of a California Arts Council peer-review panel for the 2018-19 grant season. For the first time this year, panelists will receive an honorarium for their service in Sacramento. Young professionals and experienced cultural workers, artists, and arts policy makers are encouraged to apply by January 15. Complete details can be found here.
AFTA awards CA state Sen. Ben Allen for arts leadership
California Arts Council national partner Americans for the Arts has presented California Senator Ben Allen with the Public Leadership in the Arts Award for State Arts Leadership. The award honors state officials who effectively lead the arts advancement movement in their region. The senator was celebrated in a ceremony earlier this month in Washington, D.C.
