State of the Arts: What to See at the Upcoming Love Queer Cinema Week, Nov 1-5
State of the Arts is our regular arts column whereby we take a look at the newest moves in Beijing's creative scene and highlight art news as well as exhibitions, artists, and openings that you should seek out.
State of the Arts continues its festival season picks, this time focusing on the upcoming Love Queer Cinema Week (LQCW), which this year takes place throughout the first week of November. From Nov 1 to 5, the Institut Français will be hosting a selection of Chinese and foreign queer films alongside several discussions on queer film and diversity.
The program consists of a few feature films and six groups of short films revolving around the main theme of the series: Intersections. We asked a few questions to one of the minds behind the curatorial selection about what to expect at this year’s LQCW program.
