PRO ARTS Seeks Executive Director PRO ARTS is seeking an Executive Director who can lead the nonprofit organization into its fifth decade of artistic excellence, meaningful community engagement and service to the field. Following decades of growth and increased sustainability, PRO ARTS is now poised for a transformative era serving the dynamic arts community of Oakland and the greater region. PRO ARTS is committed to exhibitions and artist commissions, arts education, and artist services, including East Bay Open Studios.  We are seeking a candidate with a vision for the future of the organization. They should have a grounding in the visual arts with a sensitivity and appreciation of the organization's core values. The position requires an excellent communicator who is flexible, open-minded and can bring innovative approaches and models for expanded programs and services, operations and facilities, and revenue sources. The Executive Director shall have, or is shown to have, the capacity to foster a deep understanding and appreciation for the Bay Area arts landscape and broader Oakland community. Candidates should have experience in using best practices in nonprofit arts administration: development, fiscal management, program development, staff and organizational management, marketing, community affairs and board relations. The Executive Director serves as executive of the organization and works closely with and reports to the Board of Directors comprised of leaders from the arts and the community.
