It's
amazing to me!
My students have the option of taking a multiple choice quiz as many times as they like before each exam until they get the grade that they want. (Each quiz is designed to be a prep for the midterm exams.)
Over one third of the students in each class never take the quiz even once before the exam (the quizzes are worth 5% of their total grade.)
Over 75% of the students in each class take have earned a "C" and have not retaken the quiz.
25% of the students in each class have take the quizzes several times.
Of this 25% only 20% of them take it until they earn an A.
Why do you think students do this? It's totally making me nuts!
