Opening Reception // Book Signing Saturday September 21, 7-10 PM Showing through October 12, 2013 Gauntlet Gallery is pleased to present “The Art of The Astonishing World of Art” by Brandon Bird. Opening reception and book signing will be Saturday, September 21st, from 7-10pm. Northern California native Brandon Bird, has built a cult following with his creative paintings and drawings of historic and pop-culture figures in absurd and bizarre situations. Originally from Sacramento, Bird attended UC Santa Cruz from 1998-2002, where he was both a Regents Scholar and an Irwin Scholar. From 2004 -2006 he was an artist-in-residence at Cornell University's Risley College. |

Bird recently released his first book
Brandon Bird's Astonishing World of Art. His book is an interactive and artistic creation of drawings and paintings compiled in the form of coloring pages, stickers, pull-out postcards, and more. Gauntlet Gallery will be showing many of the original works from Bird’s book, along with giclee prints of his classic paintings. All works will be available for purchase and Brandon will be present at the opening.
