If you really want to learn how to draw the figure, my friend Christian Fagerlund is giving a class. Christian teaches at Ohlone and is co-director of the Louie Meager Art Gallery at Ohlone.

Long-pose Drawing Workshop: Reclining Figure
When drawing the reclining figure, one is faced with a unique set of challenges that usually aren't present in the standing or sitting figure. Issues of forced perspective, foreshortening, odd proportional relationships, and obscure views of masses can make this process difficult. In this four session workshop you will practice using tools and methods for overcoming these issues. We will work on one pose, allowing you 16 hrs with the model (total 20 hours of instruction).
We will focus on:
-various measurement techniques to help achieve correct proportions
-two vs. three-dimensional ways of seeing/recording
-overlapping of masses
-applying our conceptual understanding of anatomical forms
-accurate simplification of value relationships
All levels are welcome. Any drawing medium is allowed, although demonstrations will be done in charcoal and graphite. Class size will be small (8 max), allowing ample time for one-on-one critiques and demos.
