I'm Kenney Mencher. I'm an artist who left a tenured professorship in 2016 to pursue making art full time. This blog is about art, art history, with a emphasis on human rights. I make homoerotic art featuring bears, otters & other gay wildlife.
Monday
A quick video demo I did of how to sketch the head in watermedia.
Troll (Internet) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Page semi-protected "Do not feed the trolls" and its abbreviation "DNFTT" redirect here. For the Wikimedia essay, see "What is a troll?". The "trollface" sometimes used to indicate trolling.[1]
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4] The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted". While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions outside of an online context. For example, mass media uses troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families."[5][6]
I think what the poster was saying was that no everyone paints as you do, hence, the nose. As such everyone has their own opinion, and you don't like criticism, you delete often when its not in your favor. Trolls??? I'm not a troll, just someone interested in what your painting, lighten up, life's too short.
Interesting but -
ReplyDeleteIs ". . .how to sketch . . ." the only way?
Perhap it is only one of many ways?
This artist, not a "prof" usually starts with the nose and it's appended lower cavities...and
often but one ear occasionally appears.
Why.....
Faces are alive, an artist needs variety. Artists are aflame.... they must stimulate....
Never become dry
